Throughout her career, Alexandra has conducted functional behavior assessments to inform behavior intervention planning. She has developed individualized treatment programming and caregiver education materials, and she has supervised and mentored behavior technicians. She places an emphasis on the importance of collaboration with interdisciplinary partners to support holistic and coordinated outcomes for the clients and families she serves.
Alexandra is passionate about a holistic approach to ABA that integrates regulation through movement-based play. She teaches strategies that empower individuals of all ages to advocate, regulate, and communicate effectively. She believes that a child who is physically and emotionally regulated is most ready to learn, and she works to create a supportive environment where meaningful growth can take root.
Outside of her clinical work, Alexandra is happiest outdoors and in nature. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, gardening, and spending time on the water. She is also a devoted animal lover and a proud cat parent of three, with a dream of helping and caring for as many animals as she can. Alexandra loves weaving these interests into session to teach applicable communication and regulation skills.
She finds joy in helping clients bring the things they love into the process of learning new skills. She encourages clients, families, and future clinicians alike to discover what interests them and to use it as a foundation to keep growing and to help themselves and others.
